Eye 35 Eye Care Clinic was created when two outstanding optometrists Dr. Scott Fontana and Dr. Sean Bell determined the south metro suburbs needed an upbeat eye care facility that offered state of the art eye care treatment including contact fittings, a selection of fashionable eyeglass frames, and in-house Lasik and Intralase corrective surgery.

The mission at Eye 35 is to provide the most comprehensive eye health and vision care possible. They are committed to maximizing patient education and helping patients gain a clear understanding of all aspects of their vision. Scott Fontana, O.D.
Doctor of Optometry

Originally from Rochester, MN, Dr. Fontana received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Minnesota. He next earned his doctorate degree from the New England College of Optometry located in Boston, MA in 1983. Dr. Fontana then moved cross- country and completed his residency training at the American Lake VA Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. Dr. Fontana relocated back to the southern metro and has been practicing optometry for over 20 years. His specialties include comprehensive eye exams, treatment and management of eye disease, contact fittings, as well as assessing and prescribing corrective eyewear. Dr. Fontana has been co-managing lasik surgery patients for 10 years. He and his wife, Peggy, have one daughter in college and reside in Savage, MN.


Sean Bell, O.D.
Doctor of Optometry

Dr. Bell earned his undergrad Degree at the University of Iowa. He received his doctorate degree from Illinois College of Optometry and completed an externship with the US Naval Hospital at the Great Lakes Naval Base in Illinois. After completing a hospital-based residency in Chicago he began practicing optometry in 1993. In addition to his training in primary care optometry, Dr. Bell has completed mini fellowships in refractive surgery and is nationally and state board-certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease. Dr. Bell has held clinical teaching affiliations with the Illinois College of Optometry and the Illinois Visually Handicapped Institute. In addition to practicing optometry for many years in the metro area, he has lectured to numerous community and professional organizations. Dr. Bell enjoys practicing full scope optometry including contact lens fittings, low vision and rehabilitative optometry, pediatric and geriatric care, as well as co-managing refractive surgery.  He and his wife Deanna have two children.


Tammy Arndorfer, ABOC
Office Manager

Tammy grew up in Rochester and moved to the Twin Cities in 1992. She started working in the optical field in 1993 and fell in love with the profession. She obtained her ABO Certification (American Board of Opticianry) in 1997. Tammy has been working with Dr. Fontana and Dr. Bell since receiving ABO Certification. She has extensive knowledge in providing assistance to both contact lens and eyeglass customers. The most rewarding part of Tammy's job is helping her customers select a great fashion piece of eyewear!

Tammy has lived in the south metro for the past 12 years. She is married and has two daughters, ages 9 and 6. During her free time Tammy does volunteer work at her children's elementary school and also volunteers time at her church. She loves all sports, especially our Minnesota teams! Like most of us, she loves Minnesota summers and can be found fishing on one of our many lakes, when the opportunity arises. She likes to read, cook, and spend time with family and friends.


Anthony Novak, MD
Eye Surgery & Laser Center

Dr. Novak's expertise is in the area of medical and surgical eye care. He is board certified in the specialty of Ophthalmology (eye surgeon) with 18 years experience. His expertise is Lasik surgery, cataract surgery (clear corneal/topical anesthetic offering the "new" bifocal implants), glaucoma, corneal transplant, oculoplastic (ptosis, entropian, ectropian blepharoplasty and cancer), and tear duct surgery.

Dr. Novak graduated from Hamline University, then attended Medical School at the University of Minnesota. He spent one year in the family practice residency program at Regions Hospital in St. Paul MN, after which completing residency training at the University of Minnesota Department of Ophthalmology. In 1991 he became board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and served on the clinic board for four years and also was chief of staff at St. Johns Hospital for four years.

Dr. Novak belongs to the professional societies of the Minnesota Medical Association, the American Medical Association, the Minnesota Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Academy of Ophthalmology an the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
